back to normal

We survived the regatta! Boy, was that a lot of fun. Having only participated in one 48 hour event from Papeete to Moorea we didn’t completely understand what was in store for us with the Musket Cove Regatta. There were three days of sailing and six days and nights of events. Everyone was in great spirits and the whole deal was quite festive and semi out of control. Fortunately, Tim had a board call early the morning following the final night so we went home early and didn’t end up with the group that stayed out until 5:00 a.m. Yowzer. The last couple of days we’ve been doing “stuff” on Agility. Tim’s been trouble shooting one of the toilets, I’ve done some cleaning of the exterior lockers and interior bilges, have gone to the Musket Cove Spa, swam, hiked, and rested a tad.
Our good friends, Speakeasy, have taken off and will be headed to Australia so we appreciated being able to spend some more intense time with them during the regatta. We all had a blast during the races and were quite compatible with taking some evenings off the events. We’ve met a lot of other people over the past couple of weeks, several of whom are heading our way to NZ so will be good to see some familiar faces off and on.
My mom and cousin arrive next Wednesday for 2 weeks so we need to plan for that and are happy to have something to look forward to. After their departure, we’ll be on alert for a good weather window to NZ. Sayonara….
