agility @ sea

All is well aboard Agility. After picking up my mom and cousin Carol in Denerau, we immediately headed back to Musket Cove where we had a great pizza dinner and a good nights sleep. The next day we sailed to Navadra where we had a happy reunion with Moonshadow. So great to see Deb and John! I attempted to make Wally’s (famous Abaco, Bahamas restaurant) pina coladas and we had a fun happy hour aboard with our friends and family. I’ve also been trying to swim more to get some form of exercise so had a good swim into the reef and back, discovered the anchor appeared to be in the only non-sand area in the entire bay, reported back to Tim, and he was able to confirm that the anchor was wrapped around some rubble and we proceeded to pull up anchor and move a tad. We hung out for awhile and then joined Moonshadow on the beach for a game of Bocce that was a ton of fun. Nogal (A57 sister ship to the old Agility) had arrived to the anchorage and came in and joined us for some more chatting and goofing around before we headed back to Agility for a pasta dinner.

This morning John (Moonshadow) filmed some more drone coverage so Tim took the dink over to observe the process and get the video. After all of that action, we motored to Waya, went into the village, and did an abbreviated SevuSevu and then toured the town. The only cyclone damage was to the kindergarten which is in the process of being rebuilt. It’s a very nice community. All of Fiji has been impressive. The villages are neat and clean – almost always a church and educational facilities and very kind people. Tim wore a sulu (traditional skirt – orange, of course), I had also wore a traditional Fijian get-up and Mom and Carol were dressed in the manner of the local customs which everyone really appreciated. We got a lot of positive feedback about our garb (as usual) since we’re always pretty cool. 🙂

Tomorrow we will most likely head to the Blue Lagoon where we hope to get everyone out for a good snorkel.
