This Blue Marlin (8 foot long bill to tail) and I had a little battle for about 90 minutes this afternoon. I won.
Two hours later we had a lovely lunch and have a freezer full of 100+ or so Marlin steaks.

Holy crap. Details. I need details! What time of day? Is it typical to get a marlin on whatever bait you were using? Did you have the right gear for it? Did you have a gaff? How did you get it into the boat without the damn thing spearing you?
Did you vacuum pack? Those steaks look wonderful.
